The Project

The Séance Starter Kit™ is a new theatre production making its debut at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2026.

With comedy, horror, practical theatrical effects and live cinematography, the production explores the supernatural, price of performance and greed.

The Story

The Séance Starter Kit™ follows a late-night failing infomercial TV show, While Stocks Last, as it fights to avoid cancellation.

Desperate for sales, the team bring on a famous clairvoyant to promote a new product: an at-home Séance Kit. What begins as sales patter and entertainment descends into something more terrifying as the team realise they have invited something otherworldly onto the programme.

The audience becomes the live studio audience, witnessing the show attempt to maintain control as things get spooky. 

Why We Need Your Support

The project has been developed independently, with the creative team investing significant time and personal commitment to bring the production on at the Edinburgh Fringe.

So far, we have covered basic costs, including company registration, venues, initial marketing and advertising and tech. 

Now we need your support to help us complete the journey and bring the full vision of the show to the stage.

Every contribution will directly support the creation and delivery of the production, including:

• Technical support throughout rehearsals and performances.
• Set, props and costume.
• Practical effects, puppetry and live cinematography equipment.
• Marketing and publicity to help audiences discover the show during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and beyond
• Photography and filming of performances

About Get Tae Collective

Get Tae was founded by 3 Edinburgh based artists in order to create and facilitate new artistic projects for emerging artists in Scotland. Starting with short films and 48 Hour projects, they have now gone on to create audio plays, sketch comedy nights, funded short films and podcasts. This is Get Tae's first live theatre production.
