Aim

We are fundraising for a scrum machine to safeguard players, boost training, and secure the future of Eastbourne Rugby Club for all.

Who are we?-Eastbourne Rugby Club is more than a sports team; it's a second home where friendships are forged, discipline is learned, and resilience is built. We are a vibrant, family-friendly club and a cornerstone of our local community. Our club is run by a passionate group of coaches, committee members, and volunteers who dedicate their time to fostering an inclusive and thriving environment for rugby. We cater to players of all ages and abilities, from our promising Under-6s taking their first steps in the game to our senior men's and women's teams. Our vision is to continue to provide a safe and rewarding experience for everyone involved for many years to come.

Why are we crowdfunding?-For two full seasons, our forwards have been without a scrum machine, which has prevented them from getting the essential, safe training needed t1759230952_whatsapp_image_2025-09-25_at_19.56.34_(1).jpego develop their technique and power. This isn't just about winning games; it’s about player welfare and skill development.

How we’ll spend the money raised-We are seeking to raise £7,896 to acquire a modern, versatile scrum machine. The machine will be adjusted for different levels of strength and size, making it suitable for all age groups—from our senior men and women’s teams down to our junior and mini sections.

Community Impact-The acquisition of a scrum machine will fundamentally change the training and development experience for every player, particularly our forwards. It will create a safer, more effective, and more professional training environment by significantly reducing the risk of injury associated with live scrummaging. Players will feel a newfound confidence in their abilities and a sense of pride and accomplishment as their hard work translates into a more dominant and cohesive scrum.
