ScrawlrBox provides subscribers with a monthly box of mystery art supplies. Inspiring artists of all abilities each month, with a new selection of creative tools.

About the project

I have been a designer, doodler, all round creative and pen addict for as long as I can remember. I love art supplies and get such a rush of inspiration when I get a new marker or pencil that I want to open my sketchbook and try it out immediately.You can never have enough drawing tools and this is the reason I wanted to start ScrawlrBox. Providing a monthly box of pens, pencils, paint and any other mark makers to artists of all abilities, helping inspire that flow of creativity. ScrawlrBox subscribers should open their box of art supplies every month and feel that need to create.

How does it work?

If you're not familiar with subscription boxes then you might be wondering how this all works. It's fairly simple. Once you decide to join, enter your details and create an account. You will then be charged for your first box. That box and its creative contents will then be carefully put together and sent out. If you like what you receive then don't do anything and you will continue to be billed monthly and receive a box every month with new selection of art supplies. If you decide you no longer want to use the service you can cancel your subscription at any time (no contracts, no fees) and you will no longer be sent the box.

Whats in the box?

Premium Art Supplies

Each month you'll get a carefully curated selection of premium art supplies. The drawing tools sent are guaranteed to be higher value than the price of the box meaning every month you get more pens for your money! Each month the boxes will contain a different collection of drawing tools. A selection of mediums and colours that can be used individually or all together to produce your next masterpiece.

Scrawlr Challenges

New box, new challenge. Using the supplies in your box and the chosen theme, word or starting point. ScrawlrBox wants you to get creative and interpret the brief in your own way. Then share the results with us so we can show your work to the rest of the subscribers. Just use #ScrawlrBox when sharing your creation and we will be able to find it.

Featured Artist

Along with the great selection art supplies you will get a small print/postcard of an artist/illustrators recent work. On the back there will be a short passage about the piece, plus links to how to find more from the artist. A little slice of inspiration to get the creative juices flowing. Frame it, save it or send it to someone else... spread the creativity!

Extra Treats

If that's not enough, there will be an extra little treat in every box, maybe something edible, weird or just frickin' cool. Whatever it is, you will love it or it wouldn't be in our box.

The Subscription Box (£15)

This reward entitles you to your first box of premium art supplies. Each box will contain about 6 drawing tools as well as other treats and inspirations, all for £15. We guarantee that the contents of the box will always be less than the price of the goodies inside (RRP). Try a box and if you don't like what you receive then all you have to do is cancel your subscription. No contracts and no hidden fee's.

The Gift Box (£20)

Looking for that perfect gift for a sketchy sister or creative cousin? If you're not arty then buy a box for someone who is. Anyone who draws, doodles, paints or likes getting messy will love what we put into every box. Everyone likes receiving surprises in the post? We'll even wrap the voucher in a specially designed gift package, so you have something fancy to give to that lucky person.

Box & T-Shirt Pack (£30)

Whats better than a box of premium art supplies delivered to your door? One that comes with a limited edition T-Shirt! This reward gets you the first box of premium art supplies but also one of our limited edition Scrawlr Vortex T-Shirts. We will only be printing the same number as rewards sold, so they truly are limited. Only Scrawlr's buying this reward will ever own one. Check it out:

The One Off Boxes

If you want something special, treat yourself to a one off box. ScrawlrBox has teamed up with a selection of great British artists and illustrators who have agreed to personally customise a box for a special reward. Boxes will be 'ONE OF A KIND' hand decorated boxes created by the illustrator/artist just for you. No prints or copies. You will own an original piece of artwork by the artist of your choice. There is only one of each box available, so grab one while you can. The box will be packed with the same goodies as a regular box and also include a limited edition T-Shirt.Here is a little bit of background on each collaborator:

The SPzero76 Box: SPZero76 is an illustrator and street artist based in Bristol and London, UK. He has a varied portfolio, which includes magazine art, wall art, album covers, flyers, computer game art, corporate illustration, children’s trading cards and t-shirt designs. The 2nd Carne Griffiths Box: This generous guy has donated 2 boxes to help Scrawlrbox get launched. Working primarily with calligraphy inks, graphite and liquids, such as tea, brandy and vodka Griffiths’ fascination with drawing focuses on the creation and manipulation of the drawn line. The IGotTheDoodles Box: The anonymous doodler @igotthedoodles creates abstract artworks using a bold black lines and bright infill colours. The Mat Miller Box: Mat is an illustrator and artist currently residing in Bristol, UK. He has scribbled his way to being a full time freelance illustrator, artist or graphic artist. The Inkymole Box: Sarah J Coleman aka 'Inkymole' is an illustrator specialising in bespoke hand-rendered lettering. You will recognise her unique style from various book covers and other items. The Mister Millerchip Box: Joel Millerchip is an illustrator who translates briefs into visual stories of curly-haired characters, fantastic beasts, and distorted scenes. He draws influence from talking to real people, his own warped memories, and mythology. FAQs

How much will the following boxes cost? Every month the box will be the same price, £15.

Do you ship worldwide? Yes of course, we are based in the UK but want boxes to be available to everyone. Just select the subscription box reward and you will be able to pay the additional postage charge once the project has been fully funded.

Will there be a delivery charge? No, delivery within UK is FREE! All international subscribers will be charged an additional fee of £5 to cover shipping costs.

What will be in the first box? Its a surprise! Part of the excitement of Scrawlrbox is that you never know what going to arrive. All I can say is that we make sure each box is filled with things we know you'll love.

How many items wil be in each box? Thats a good question, we aim to have about 6 premium items in each box but depending on the cost of the items there maybe slightly more or slightly less. But we do garuntee that each month we make sure the contents of the box is worth more that the price you pay for the box.

When will I get my first box? As soon as the project is funded we will start to put together the boxes and hope to get them posted within a few weeks.

What happens after I select my reward? If successful we will send out detailed instructions by turning your reward into a voucher code, which you will then be able to redeem when creating an account on the website.

Can I buy a subscription for someone as a gift? What a generous person you are. Yes, Once successful a one off voucher code will be emailed to you to reclaim. You can then forward it on to that very lucky person. Or select the gift option reward and we will wrap it all up in a nice package and send them a gift package with the voucher code on for you.
