Angus North & Mearns CLP wish to raise funds to campaign in Local Government Elections for Montrose & District which take place in May 2022

by John Ruddy in Montrose, Angus Council, United Kingdom

 New stretch target

The more money we can raise, the more voters will receive our message before polling day.

I are standing to represent the fantastic community of Montrose, and to promote Labour and Co-Operative values across the whole of Angus.  To achieve this, I need your help.

Running an election campaign isn't cheap, especially if I am to reach as many voters as possible with my message. I know I can win in Montrose, but I need every bit of support I can get.

I've lived in Montrose for 14 years and this is where I am bringing up my young family. It shouldn’t be as hard as it is for people to get by, for families to have hope for their children’s future, for businesses to thrive and for us all to have access to the services on which we most rely. I want to put our families and communities first, tackle the cost of living crisis and create a fairer, greener future for us and our town. I believe that Montrose and Angus deserves better. If you do too, please support me.

  • Lets unlock the potential of our high street, putting our community in the driving seat to change it for the better.
  • It's time we invested in our local communities. I would ensure more council money is spent locally to help narrow inequality.
  • I would ensure the potholes in our roads are fixed quickly and roads made safer for cyclists and pedestrians.
  • I will support our Schools to prioritise learning that matches the needs of our young people and encourages them to flourish
  • Buses should be run for people not profit. Private bus barons shouldn't be allowed to cherry-pick the profitable routes.
  • Climate change is one of the biggest challenges we face. Tackling it must be

central to everything we do as we recover from the pandemic. I'll work to improve energy efficiency and invest in renewable energy. Both will reduce energy bills, create jobs and protect our planet.

Please donate whatever you can to support my campaign. Every single penny I get will help me deliver our message to crucial voters, and do everything I can to reach out to the people of Montrose with Scottish Labour's message that Angus Deserves Better.

I know not everyone can contribute financially, especially in these tough times, but there are plenty of other ways to get involved.

If you want to help, please get in touch: [email protected]

Angus Deserves Better than being let down by the SNP and Tory Governments and anything you can donate will go a long way to help us deliver the change our community need.

Thank you for your support.

John
