Aim

Help us build a pop-up music pavilion and take School of Uke’s lessons, jams and live music events out into parks, markets and festivals.

What is School of Uke?

School of Uke blends group ukulele lessons, 1:1 tuition, live events and performance into a rewarding social music experience. 

We aim to build confidence, connection and creativity as we expand to new cities, outdoor and digital spaces. 

No experience needed. No pressure. Just music, real connections, and a great time.

Over the years, School of Uke has grown into something much bigger than lessons. It’s a community. A weekly highlight. A place where people meet, laugh, play, and surprise themselves.

We’ve seen complete beginners walk in unsure… and walk out playing songs, making friends, and finding something they didn’t even know they were looking for.

And this summer, we’re taking School of Uke outside to enjoy the summer vibes and share our unique music experience with the wider world.

The Next Chapter: School of Uke On Tour 

We’re launching our very first School of Uke pop-up pavilion, a mobile music space bringing lessons, jams and events into:

• Parks
• Gardens
• Markets
• Festivals
• Community spaces

Think: music in the sunshine, festival/picnic energy, and a proper feel-good atmosphere.

This is about creating a visible, welcoming space where anyone can stop, listen, join in, and be part of something.

Why We’re Crowdfunding

We’ve built School of Uke independently, over many years, with a lot of care.

But here’s the honest bit:

We’re not profit-driven.

Everything we make goes back into:

• Fair tutor pay
• Keeping lessons affordable
• Delivering great experiences

So when it comes to building something new like this, we can’t do it alone.

What We’re Funding

We need to raise £7000 to cover the cost of the School of Uke branded pavilion (£3500), outdoor equipment including chairs, stands and demo ukuleles, and to cover the cost of the rewards we're offering you — every penny goes toward making this happen.

Your support will help us create a fully functioning School of Uke Pavilion, including:

• A 3m x 6m custom-branded tent
• Foldable outdoor chairs
• Music stands + demonstration ukuleles
• Equipment for lessons, jams and performances

This gives us something we’ve never had before:

A portable School of Uke space that can show up anywhere.
