Over the past 5 years, myself and colleagues have been working with Headteachers in the Ashanti region, Ghana supporting schools, with a focus on developing school leadership. Working with various agencies, including the British Council, our approach has been to give practical and sustained support in developing Headteachers to build leadership capacity in their schools. So far we have trained over 400 Headteachers, Deputy Heads and Regional Directors, and and we are going back in June this year to continue the work. We are a planning a conference in June 2016 for all the Heads we have worked with so far to share experiences and continue to develop sustainable solutions and are looking for funds to help put the conference on, and help with the cost of the trip as most of it is funded by ourselves. Please email me for further details and to see how you can be part of this great project. If you are a Headteacher, or work for a school you may be interested in seeing how your school can get involved.
