The Scheherazade Foundation aims to reconnect society with the Essence of Humanity by empowering women, bridging cultures & telling stories

by The Scheherazade Foundation in London, Greater London, United Kingdom

We're still collecting donations

On the 1st June 2022 we'd raised £6,789 with 43 supporters in 21 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.

The Scheherazade Foundation has some powerful backers in its drive to reconnect society with the Essence of Humanity, including His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Sir David Attenborough.

Over the past year, our projects have included:

  • raising tens of thousands of pounds with your help to aid young Afghan girls in the wake of the Taliban takeover
  • promoting literacy in rural Pakistan through the funding of a 'Camel Library' that takes books to children in remote areas of Baluchistan
  • returning dozens of looted art works and sacred objects to Ethiopia
  • sponsoring the endangered craft of the story-telling Tentmakers of Cairo Bazaar

And we have so many more plans for new and very exciting projects that will be starting very soon.

But for these to turn into a reality, we need your help.

So far, most of our work has been funded out of the pockets of the handful of individuals behind The Scheherazade Foundation, because of our firm belief in the need for what we're doing.

But those funds have now run dry.

And if we're to continue with all the great initiatives we've got started, we need your support.

For apart from our projects, there's so much to be done, like creating a stunning website and great social media accounts.

We urgently need to raise a minimum of £20,000. With this money we can bring to life the projects we have planned, and bring help to thousands of people - particularly children - all over the world

Please help us as generously as you can, and together we can bring applied, deeply human and creative thinking to the world's problems.

Thank you!

To help raise the funds, we're offering amazing rewards for our supporters, including:
