On the 1st September 2020 we'd raised £850 with 32 supporters in 61 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
We plan to create affordable arts education projects for young people (14-23) to make sure young people from all backgrounds are able to have access to professional training.
We also plan to programme affordable theatrical productions for communities in the UK where artists are paid a fair fee for their work.
Founded in 2019, SCENARIA are a professional and ambitious music theatre production company and arts education project dedicated to doing things differently.
WE AIM TO:
We aim to create opportunities for artists at the early stage of their careers using new-writing and re-imagining both classic and contemporary works from the worlds of Opera and Music Theatre as well as providing low-fee professional training opportunities for young people.
We produce innovative, affordable and un-intimidating pieces of music theatre working with the very best up and coming artists from the worlds of opera and musical theatre, including singers, actors, musicians, dancers, designers and venues. Scenaria bring the UK's finest young artists to some of the most beautiful and intimate venues all over the country creating new theatrical experiences making sure that as many people as possible are able to experience the highest quality productions right on their doorstep and experience something NEW!
The arts is a notoriously difficult industry and Scenaria strive to support those entering into it from Drama School or Music Conservatoire. We set up our Young Artist Development Scheme to offer the possibility of a professional summer contract, mentorship and further performance opportunities throughout the year.
With COVID-19, we like many small businesses are unable to run and with 2020 supposedly being our first big year of productions that have now been cancelled, we are hoping to raise money that will be put towards creating paid performance opportunities and low-fee training opportunities for young people - we can only do this if we are able to pay our fantastic teachers, workshops leaders and creatives.
We have been showcasing artists work on our Instagram @scenarialtd and would love it if you could support us in any way at all. The smallest donation really could make a difference to our future.
