My Vision for Supporting Bereaved Parents
My name is Tracy, and I founded Found My Niche CIC to create compassionate, practical support for people facing some of life’s most difficult experiences.
Over the years, I have worked with many individuals and families navigating grief, trauma and major life changes. One thing has become painfully clear: when a parent loses a child, the world keeps moving, but their world stops.
There are no words big enough to describe the devastation of losing a child.
Whether that loss happens during pregnancy, shortly after birth, in childhood or later in life, parents often describe feeling isolated, misunderstood and profoundly alone.
Friends and family may want to help, but they do not always know what to say. Formal support is often limited, waiting lists can be long, and many bereaved parents are left trying to carry unimaginable pain with very little specialist help.
Research from the Child Bereavement UK and the National Bereavement Alliance highlights the significant impact of child loss on mental health, relationships, employment and physical wellbeing. Bereaved parents are at increased risk of depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress and social isolation.
And yet, many tell us the same thing:
"I just want to be with people who understand."
That is why I created the Say Their Name: Child Loss Grief Gathering.
Why This Day Matters
This free event has been designed to provide a safe, supportive space where bereaved parents can spend time with others who truly understand the experience of child loss.
There is no pressure to talk.
No expectation to share.
No requirement to take part in anything that does not feel right.
Parents can simply come as they are.
Throughout the day, they will have access to:
Sometimes the most powerful support is knowing you do not have to explain your pain to anyone.
How Your Donations Will Help
Every donation will help us provide this event free of charge to bereaved parents who may otherwise be unable to access this kind of specialist support.
Funds raised will be used to cover:
The Bigger Vision
My vision is to build a compassionate network of support for people experiencing grief across our community.
This event is only the beginning.
With your help, we can continue to create safe spaces where bereaved parents feel heard, supported and less alone.
We can provide specialist help that is accessible, gentle and rooted in genuine understanding.
And we can remind parents that their child matters, their grief matters, and they do not have to carry it on their own.
How You Can Help
By donating to this Crowdfunder, you are helping to create a lifeline for parents facing one of the most devastating experiences imaginable.
Your support will help us offer practical care, professional guidance and a compassionate community to those who need it most.
Together, we can help bereaved parents say their child's name, share their grief and feel held in the company of people who truly understand.
