Pay technical experts to represent the community at public inquiry + make sure AmeyCespa's appeal against CambsCountyCouncil is unsuccessful
We need funds to pay for technical experts (landscape, environmental and planning law experts) to represent the Cambridge community at the public inquiry to make sure the Amey Cespa appeal is unsuccessful. Doing so will also help support the complex legal defence that the county council is being forced to provide because the developer has appealed.
We are normal local residents who have formed a community campaign group representing the communities across the Fen Edge and residents across Cambridge, including MPs, councillors, scientists, doctors, teachers and tax payers. We call ourselves CBWIN.
A planning appeal is expensive. We organised a fantastic report last year and raised funds to commission a professional independent landscape review, and MPs and councillors listened and acted.
Professional independent advice costs a lot.
The application for an incinerator was rejected in 2018 by Cambridgeshire County Council (on ground of severe harm to landscape and heritage) BUT the developers Amey Cespa are appealing so
WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT AGAIN- this is an extension of our fresh new 2019 appeal.
We need experts to speak at the appeal to ensure the appeal is unsuccessful and the county council decision is upheld, and truly innovative solutions to waste management are prioritised.
Any money left over will be donated to a local Fen Edge community group. Our financial records are fully available on request.
