Support our community campaign opposing the Hyde Bank Meadows development and help fund surveys, information and resident engagement.
Help Our Community Respond to the Hyde Bank Meadows Development
Our community is coming together to respond to the proposed Hyde Bank Meadows development, which could see up to 250 homes built on land near Romiley.
This campaign is about ensuring that local voices are heard and that the proposal receives the full scrutiny it deserves through the planning process.
Residents have raised a number of concerns about the potential impacts of the development, including:
• traffic and access via Gotherage Lane
• pressure on local infrastructure
• flood risk and drainage
• environmental impacts
• the loss of Green Belt land
Planning decisions must take these issues into account, and community engagement plays an important role in ensuring they are properly considered.
Why we are raising funds
Running a community campaign requires practical resources.
We want to make sure residents across the area have access to accurate information and understand how they can participate in the planning process.
Funds raised will be used for:
• posters, banners and window signs
•independent site surveys
• printing of information materials
• meeting and event costs
• website and communication tools
All funds will be used solely to support the community campaign and keep residents informed.
