Fal Fishery Cooperative CIC
11th May 2020Cornish Native Oysters - hatchery coming together nicely...
Well I cannot deny being a little behind my own schedule, but only by a week and given the circumstances that is not bad...
So I sent out the last of the Fal Oysters at the end of April then we could crack on with converting the unit from a ‘Purification Centre’ to an ‘Oyster Hatchery and science laboratory’...
It turned out that the electrics needed a lot more than I had thought... For more than 10 years I have had a very simple 16a supply with an RCB and a few sockets, but given the nature of the wet room, with the mix of seawater and electrics, it was always my intention to update it... now we have a fully armoured cable, the container is earthed and all the IP rated sockets have a big on/off switch and are all isolated separately... the new hatchery equipment and lighting has arrived and been installed, so I have taken the opportunity to put together a short film for you all to see!
