Due to your kind donations we did just reach the 'all or nothing' target, which means it is now an 'always on' project, so if you know anyone that might also be interested then donations still welcome!
We are now preparing for the next target to set up the King Harry Aquaculture Research Site, but occupancy has been delayed by the solicitor due to COVID-19 lockdown.
We are also writing a large grant fund application for the research centre that must be submitted in June and decisions made in September, fingers crossed the panel don't just suggest we "buy seed from UK or France and relay on our fishery"(reason why we unsuccessful in the first round) - which is against all research, spreads disease if you can source native oyster spat and even if we could then we would not be permitted to put it on the Fal Fishery anyway...
