7th February 2025Thank you to all of your supporters. Tittybottle Oak was felled by LCC today.
Today, Leeds City Council and Balfour Beattie felled the Tittybottle Oak. Thank you to everyone who contributed to our fundraiser and to those who shared it. Leeds City Council managers, Balfour Beattie managers and Balfour Beattie workmen turned up this morning when the tree had been left on its own. The felling was covered on the local news at lunchtime and this evening.
We will take this experience forward and will ensure that we continue to do what ever we can to protect trees under threat in the future. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
