OUR FERRY IS CLOSED - and won't open again without us.
The ferry has not been running since Christmas Eve 2020.
The service has not made a profit for 18 months, showing a total loss of over £190,000 and they have nothing left to get going again.
The vessel requires a refit before June this year, costing around £60,000.
This is where we come in. The local community and lovers of the ferry need to show our support and stop us losing such a special piece of our history.
Through this page and various fundraising activities, we are going to do our bit.
Once more, our Waterside needs us. Once more, let's step up - together!
*UPDATE - Southampton City Council, NFDC and Hampshire County Council have agreed to provide some financial support to help get the ferry back in business however, it has not yet been received and it is not enough to save our ferry so we must push on and achieve our goal!
