#SaveOurVenues - The Harrison, Kings Cross

Aim

This is a national effort, lead by the Music Venues Trust, to #SaveOurVenues. We are specifically helping The Harrison Pub Live Music Venue

Dear Friends

On the 1st September we are going to try to re-open our wonderful Pub and Live Music Venue, The Harrison in Kings Cross, London, after being closed for five and a half months.
Like many at the moment, we have suddenly found our lovely thriving community and business placed in a previously unimaginable precarious position. However, after 15 years of hard work building it up, we aren't going to let it go without a fight!

To re-open successfully and survive these crazy times we need your help...
Even when closed, our building accumulates considerable costs (rent, maintenance, insurance etc.). We have also retained and furloughed all our staff but that is now getting increasingly expensive. Plus reopening requires several days of cleaning and the expense of restocking.
Most importantly we want to do everything we can to support The Harrison Family of bar staff, kitchen staff, hotel staff, sound engineers, promoters and musicians.

As you may know, Live Music Venues all over the country are under threat of closure and our Crowdfunder is part of a Nationwide effort by the Music Venue's Trust, the guardian angels of the UK's grass roots music venues. Any money raised beyond the goal will go into the MVT National Fund to save other venues like ours.

The Mayor of London has also promised to help by adding another 50% to whatever we raise with this fund raiser!

Crowdfunder are also waiving their fees for this good cause and so all the money you give will go a long way.
