New stretch target
Our stretch target secured a further months security for The Cali. As our closure appears to be longer than originally imagined it means we can survive through to mid August on an even keel.
The Caledonia is part of a national initiative launched by Music Venue Trust to prevent the closure of hundreds of independent music venues.
Our beloved community music pub is closed, we’ve no income but we still have bills to pay. We want to be here at the end of all this and we want all UK Grassroots music venues to be here with us too. We’re partnering with Music Venue Trust to help us survive and to virtually hold hands with music venues across the UK. Thank you for your help and generosity, the only way through this is together.
We will likely be closed until mid July at the earliest, that’s 4 months minimum. We’ve calculated what extra help we will need to meet our minimum financial obligations during this time period. This may move up or down depending on what happens in government policy.
If we hit our target, and we can prevent the closure of our venue, everything above the amount we need will be donated to the Music Venue Trust GMV Crisis Fund to protect other venues just like ours, right across the country.
