Firstly, thank you so much to all of our lovely customers/fans that have popped a few quid into our Crowdfunder pot. It really does mean a lot to all of us at The Brunswick.
A few weeks ago we received the devastating blow to be deemed ineligible for the government's Cultural Recovery Fund.
So once again we find ourselves asking for your help. We would say to come down to The Brunswick. Have a beer. Have a bite to eat. Enjoy a (socially distanced) show. But now...
LOCKDOWN 2.0
If you're able to donate to our Crowdfunder this time round, you'll be helping us to hit the ground running again as soon as we are able and get back to putting on live shows supporting grassroots musicians, free-lance engineers and all of the third parties that rely on us to stay afloat.
Please also have a look at our social media platforms and share the #savethebrunswick and #savethe30 campaign.
For now, we keep fighting.

About #SaveThe30 - The Red List
During the last 8 months, Music Venue Trust and Crowdfunder have worked together to prevent the closure of hundreds of grassroots music venues. With no end to the crisis in sight, we are now refocusing that work to spotlight those venues under most imminent threat of permanent closure. The #SaveOurVenues Red List highlights the grassroots music venues at most risk.
Right now.
We’ve checked all the available funding, financial support, furlough schemes, business support for these venues, and what is on offer is not enough to prevent them being lost. These 30 venues are on the Critical List and need your help.
These grassroots venues play a crucial role in the development of British music, nurturing local talent, providing a platform for artists to build their careers and develop their music and their performance skills. These venues also play a vital role in the cultural and economic vibrancy of any village, town or city.
Please donate, share this page widely and do what you can to help us to make sure our grassroots music venues survive this crisis.

#savethebrunswick campaign
The Brunswick (Hove) is part of a national initiative launched by Music Venue Trust to prevent the closure of hundreds of independent music venues.
Over the last 14 years we have built the Brunswick from a failing sports bar to one of the city’s most important grassroots music and arts venue. We staged over 500 live events in 2019 - more live shows than any other venue in the City and we want to carry on supporting our vibrant community of musicians, promoters, comedians, cabaret artists, sound engineers and all other workers in the live sector moving forward.
We will of course fight on through this pandemic, but we need your help.
