#SaveOurVenues - Abbeydale Picture House

The Abbeydale Picture House is part of an ambitious national initiative launched by Music Venue Trust to prevent the closure of hundreds of independent music venues across the country.

The Music Venues Trust has been an incredibly supportive organisation for the team at The Abbeydale Picture House, and we are incredibly proud to be able to call ourselves members of such a vital initiative that works so hard to protect the future of so many vital music venues.

The Save Our Venues Campaign aims to save as many music venues from closure as is possible, and protect the jobs of those that work in the sector by asking the communities, artists and  music fans that attend these vibrant spaces to help secure their futures through donations, live-streamed gigs - full information on the campaign can be found online here.

Without the support of those that love these venues, many will be lost to the financial pressures of the COVID-19 pandemic, diluting the UK's cultural offer and putting many thousands of jobs at risk.

Your donations will help ensure the Abbeydale Picture House is able to reopen it's doors to the public once again after the current crisis has passed and it is safe to do so, by ensuring that overheads are covered and that staff's jobs are protected. While the building is closed we have unfortunately lost all income to the venue, jeopardising the future of the project and the recently completed improvement works which were so generously funded.
