We're still collecting donations
On the 18th May 2020 we'd raised £24,600 with 749 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
Our aim is to save Downhills Park Cafe from closure due to being hit hard by the Covid-19 Pandemic. We need your support.

On the 18th May 2020 we'd raised £24,600 with 749 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
We will use the extra money to offer staff the opportunity to obtain qualifications and training courses. We would also like to offer this opportunity to local residents where feasible.
We will also do some much needed repairs and upgrades to the cafe which has been neglected for many many years in an effort to ensure the space can best serve the public. i.e much needed extra toilet facilities, new flooring, painting and plumbing, the list goes on.
Last but certainly not least we will be donating toward local charities which work toward the prevention of knife crime as we have all been very personally affected by the other pandemic sweeping through the uk.
We started here 5 years ago with the simple objective of bringing something positive to a part of London that had taken a beating through the years.
We bought together a team of homegrown Tottenham women that wanted a work place to not only showed them the love that they deserved as dedicated professional staff but also somewhere that they could be proud to bring their own families.
We also made sure to offer opportunities for young people to not only gain experience but to also be supported financially for their dedication and hard work.
We have not only worked with the police but also the council to be a voice for our residents to be heard. We have always believed that we have strength in numbers and have been advocates in decision making that served our communities best interest.
One of our main objectives was to be able to bridge our ever diverse and growing community together.
We wanted all the cultures and flavours that made our community so wonderfully delicious and diverse to have a platform which united people from all backgrounds to enjoy in a neutral space that was not only affordable but truly represented by those people that live here.
We created as many opportunities to showcase our ambition to bring people together through a multitude of events like, family fun days, charity fun days the pleasure of supporting the existing community event, Art in the Park. Also theTottenham Mixer which was especially important as it was an event which focused solely on bringing old and new residents into a space which gave them the opportunity to meet, socialise and create real long-lasting bonds.
Due to being positioned inside of a park the general government rule that businesses can continue with takeaway does not apply to us and we have been forced to close to the public and use Deliveroo which has been quiet at best and takes a considerable chunk of any sale we make.
We have taken a massive hit and unfortunately like many in our position will not be able to access the funding via the government schemes and insurance and loans are looking less less likely. We will use the funds to pay our overheads, taxes and supplier debts as well as ensuring all our furloughed staff have a wage.
We will be using these funds to ensure the cafe is still here after the Covid storm passes.
Any contribution will be greatly appreciated.
