We're a group of regulars at The Bushel & Strike in Heacham. We're trying to help out the landlords of the pub, who're struggling to survive
Dear Friends, Neighbours and Supporters,
I am writing to you with an urgent and heartfelt request to save a place that means so much to our community - The Bushel & Strike. As many of you know, our landlords, Steve and Karen, have poured their energy, warmth and dedication into keeping the pub a welcoming home for locals and visitors alike. Unfortunately, they are now facing serious financial strain due to very high rent associated with our costal location, a challenge that becomes especially difficult to manage during the quieter winter season.
The Bushel & Strike is more than a pub. It is a gathering place, a social ancho, and one of the few remaining spaces where people of all ages can connect, celebrate, support one another and feel part of a community. Steve and Karen have given so much to preserve that spirit - hosting events, fostering friendships and keeping the doors open even when the winter months make it financially impossible. Now they need our help. We are asking for financial support from anyone who is able to contribute, whether large or small, to ensure that we do not lose this vital community hub.
