Aim: SAVE THE TROON OLD PARISH CHURCH

Can you donate just a few pounds to help secure.  Our target of £200,000 seems high but we are chasing grant funding for most of it so we are not expecting all £200k from the community.  Just a few pounds will show your support.

We are writing to share exciting news about an important opportunity for our town and to ask for your support as we move forward with a bold and meaningful project that will benefit Troon for generations to come.

The former Troon Old Parish Church, a much-loved and iconic building in the heart of our town, has become available for purchase. This historic structure has long stood as a symbol of community, reflection, and shared memory. Now, we believe it can once again become a vibrant centre for Troon—this time as a community-owned hub.

Troon Development Trust is actively working to secure this building on behalf of the community. Our vision is to transform the church into a space that meets local needs—a venue for cultural events, social gatherings, exhibitions, educational workshops, wellbeing services, and local enterprise. We believe this project has the potential to foster connection, inclusion, and opportunity in our town.

To make this vision a reality, we need your help.

We are currently:

Seeking financial support from funders, donors, and philanthropists

  • Engaging with the community to ensure this space reflects your priorities
  • Planning events and information sessions to share our progress and gather ideas

If you are interested in volunteering, contributing financially, offering professional expertise, or simply learning more, we would love to hear from you.

This is more than a building—it is an opportunity to shape the future of Troon, together.

Thank you for your continued support and belief in the power of community.

**Should the project not come to fruition by the end of September 2025 and the Church is placed on the open market, any funds raised will be redirected to support other community projects within the KA10 area, including the potential acquisition of an alternative base for a Community Hub.  However, refunds will be made available to those who chose to just support the Church Project.
