Help us save Telegraph Hill Centre from financial crisis and secure its future as a vital, welcoming community hub for everyone.
Help Securing a future for the Telegraph Hill Centre
For more than 50 years, the Telegraph Hill Centre has been a space for local activities, community groups, arts, wellbeing, fitness classes and services.
Today the Centre is a place where one can meet others, take part in activities, access community support, learn new things or share skills.
It brings people of different ages and backgrounds together and helps create the connections that make the Telegraph Hill neighbourhood such a special place to live.
We believe the centre should be a valuable part of the community for generations to come.
Why we need your help now
Like many community organisations, the Telegraph Hill Centre is facing significant financial pressures. The centre is currently running at a deficit, and without additional financial support, we face a very real challenge in securing its future.
This crowdfunding campaign is about giving the centre the chance to thrive.
We need to raise £50,000 to help us keep the centre open, reduce the deficit and meet essential running costs. We want to protect an important community asset while we put a sustainable plan in place for the future.
We want to build on everything that already makes the centre valuable while developing new opportunities to generate income and strengthen its role within the community.
With the funds raised, we will be able to:
Who we are
The Telegraph Hill Centre Team is made of local people, volunteers, staff and community partners who share an interest in protecting and developing the centre.
We care deeply about the centre and the community around it. We know how much the centre means to local people, and we are determined to do everything we reasonably can to secure its future.
But we cannot do this alone.
What your donation will mean
Every contribution will help. Your support could make an even greater contribution towards securing the centre's future.
There is no donation too small.
If you cannot donate, you can still make a huge difference by sharing this campaign. One share could put this appeal in front of someone who can help us reach our target.
What the community says
“Without THC and the staff there we would never have been able to develop and progress.”
Participant
"Not just a centre to me; my activity grew over the years and I really like the welcoming feeling and the different activities going on.”
Ballet teacher
"Without THC and the staff there we would never have been able to develop and progress. Twelve volunteers have learned with us, many going on to start their own projects. Forty people have passed through the project, growing in confidence and creativity. The encouragement of Centre staff has been absolutely key to the work.”

These testimonials are important because they show that Telegraph Hill Centre isn't simply a building. It is a place with people, memories, relationships and a future worth protecting.
This is our opportunity to save the centre
We know that asking people for money is a big thing. We also know that times are difficult for many households.
That's why we are asking everyone who believes in the centre to contribute in whatever way they can.
If you have used Telegraph Hill Centre, attended an event or class there, run a group there, volunteered there, brought your children there, met friends there, found support there, or simply believe that our community needs places like this — please help us keep it going.
Our immediate financial situation is serious, but we believe the centre has a future.
With enough support, we can get through this difficult period and work towards a stronger, more sustainable Telegraph Hill Centre.
Please help us reach our target!
And if you know an organisation, business or individual who might be able to make a contribution, please ask them to get involved. Together, we can give Telegraph Hill Centre the chance it deserves.
Help us keep this community space here for future generations. Thank you for supporting us.
