Aim
To Save The Stanley Arms Hotel from closure! We plan to mount a legal battle to stop the closure of our beautiful 117 year old country pub!
Emma and I took over The Stanley Arms on 1st March with a vision of conjoining our farm next door and the pub to offer a true experience of 'gate to plate'. On our farm we rear rare breed animals supporting the RBST.
Since moving into the pub Admiral Taverns have cancelled our 5 year lease as they have decided the pub is not financially viable to them and despite originally agreeing to sell us the pub they have since issued us with a notice to quit and close the pub for good, their intention is they will get more money to re-develop the site for housing and they have now stopped communicating with us.
We are raising money to mount a legal challenge against Admiral Taverns and stop the closure of a vital countryside community pub and to keep the Stanley Arms trading as a pub offering a vital community hub.
Help us to save The Stanley Arms! This vibrant little pub, the heart of the community, has been trading since 1906 and is now being bullied out by the greed of the big corporation companies who do not care about our small community pub just their fat wallets!
