Save The Square

Aim: This fundraiser has been started for the people of Derry, to bring life back to Ebrington Square.

People want to be inspired by something they can believe in and over the past several years Music Capital have been creating positively life-changing experiences through the power of live music.

Not only have we been instrumental in providing a platform for local and grass root performers and musicians, but we have also hosted sold out events with national and international artists in many of our much loved and iconic building’s through out the city.

With countless sold out events Music Capital has proved that Derry can be a musical destination worthy of top class acts.

Our mission is to step it up, with your help we hope to produce a three day festival in the city in the summer of 2025.

This three day festival will aim to appeal to all generations and age demographic’s.

Friday – Genre Alternative  

Saturday – Genre Current - Popular

Sunday – Genre 70’s – 80’s 90’s

With your help we hope to attract one well known performer to anchor the festival and have a mixture of current and heritage acts that will appeal to all.

We hope that if our target fund is reached to wash away all the negativity that has been surrounding Ebrington Square and to breath new life into a space that for years to come future generations will use and be proud off.

If we reach our target all funds raised and any future funds generated from this festival will be invested back into producing an annual event in Ebrington Square.

Our Mission For Ebrington Square

* To produce a global original music festival annually in Derry.

* To stimulate the cultural scene.

* To stimulate the local creative and service economy and participate actively in regional development.

* To promote cultural tourism.

* To promote diversity and inclusion.

* To put together unifying events that encourages synergy between the key venues, organisations, networks and   agencies locally.

* To strengthen a sense of confidence and belief amongst the musical community

* To encourage the discovery of new artists.

* To develop reciprocal relationships with other festivals nationally and internationally

This fund if successful will be used to produce a three day festival in the summer of 2025 with the aim of booking major and recognised artists and musicians.
