Save the Picturedrome

We are The Picturedrome, Northampton. On November 1st 2018 the venue was purchased by two local people who wanted a chance to run their own business, Chris D'alessio and Suzy Keeping, through a management buyout.

Until the COVID-19 outbreak, the venue was buzzing with live music, DJs, themed nights and family friendly cinema as well as superb food and drink, providing a fantastic experience to all who walked through its doors.

As many of our supporters and friends know, using a crowdfunding initiative was one of the last things we wanted to have to rely on, we hoped that the government support alone would help see us through. However, as time goes on, it is clear we need to call upon those who support us, to help the venue survive this emergency.

With our stock waste alone coming in over £12k, it has become very clear recently that music venues are going to be one of the last businesses able to reopen and the possible restrictions that come with it could be severely damaging to the long-term future of the venue. As it stands, we will not be able to make it past late July without your help and support!

How can you help?

We would ask you to take a look at some of our fundraising initiatives and give whatever you can. Our belief is that the venue is an important cultural hub for local people and emerging artists, and that we constantly punch above our weight for the size and location of the venue. We have tried to make the initiatives interesting and be packages that people will be able to enjoy when you are back with us.

We hope to be able to welcome you back to The Picturedrome really soon so that we can all enjoy our fantastic local DJs, bands, silent discos, comedy nights, cinema evenings, International rugby and football, salsa dancing, vintage rock and roll teadances, food and drink and much more!

Anything we raise over our target will go towards supporting our staff and sound engineers in the near future.
