We're still collecting donations
On the 1st June 2022 we'd raised £430 with 22 supporters in 56 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.

Save the Park!
by Zoe Morrison in Redruth, Cornwall, United Kingdom
On the 1st June 2022 we'd raised £430 with 22 supporters in 56 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
Heartlands is a charity. Through the social enterprise of some of our facilities and through fund raising we maintain our 19 acre site, its gardens, listed buildings and giant adventure playpark for all to enjoy freely.
Unfortunately, in recent times our adventure playpark has diminished extensively and we do not have the funds needed to replace the damaged equipment.
Our park is now at 70% of what it was eleven years ago, it will continued to rot and deteriorate.
We need to raise money to keep the park here. Not only do we want to replace and repair the park, we want to make our park more inclusive for children with disabled.
We plan to remove the damaged park pieces and to replace them with a wheelchair friendly swing, roundabout, trampolines plus plenty of sensory equipment.
Heartlands is part of ten separate mining landscapes within Cornwall and West Devon which make up a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
But Heartlands is so much more for its local community.
The largest space of its kind in the area, we are a diverse hub where people of all ages and backgrounds can learn about their ancestors, understand their heritage, and feel a sense of identity.
We provide acres of open green space, that can be accessed freely at any time, which contributes towards physical and mental wellbeing.
Our giant adventure playpark is used by many local families. It is an important part of children's social development and childhood enjoyment.
Please help us keep the park here for the community.
