The outpouring of love, generosity and trust has been completely staggering. Thank you to everyone who has written, shared or donated any amount. Reading your messages has been a joy over the last 24 hours and we've covered our debts for nearly three months of closure.

As it stands, we don’t have a date when we’ll be able to open again. The uncertainty is a big part of the problem but based on other countries, it’s clear that three months from now won’t be safe for music venues to operate. Most estimates indicate we will be closed for at least 9 months from March. Even as the hospitality sector slowly opens up, with social distancing still in place, music venues cannot operate. 

As the furlough scheme is brought to an end businesses like ours with no income remain at risk, the money we raise now can keep our staff supported and jobs in place until the end of the year when live music may return.
