Save The Freshney Valley

Aim

We are a local community group campaigning to stop a huge development of 3,500 houses and link road on open fields to the West of Grimsby

We owe it to our future generations to preserve the green spaces and natural habitats we have in North East Lincolnshire. They are important not only for being natural landscape for us to enjoy the tranquillity but provide important habitats for a range of wildlife.

Friends of The Freshney Valley is a community campaign group with 3,500 members on our Facebook Page. After 5 years, we are campaigning hard to stop a massive housing development to the West of Grimsby across a beautiful area. 

By crowdfunding, we hope to be able to afford legal advice as necessary, pay for publicity materials for local election candidates and manage the cost of holding meetings and paying speaker expenses. 

We have reached the point now that expensive legal advice is urgently required to present our case to Government as to why The Freshney Valley Development must be taken out of the Local Plan. 

We know that finding additional money for donations is a big ask at this time. Any contribution, no matter how small is gratefully received and will make a huge difference to the success of our campaign. Not a penny will be wasted!

Our group has 3,500 members. Between us, I'm sure we can reach the target we need.
