The Billi Tap is our pub, and right now we're in a hole. We need to clear what we owe our suppliers and keep trading — simple as that.

Founded in 2021 for this community, The Billi Tap celebrates five years this month. It's always been a proper local, and everyone who works here does so because they love the place — every penny that comes through the door goes back into keeping it open.

Like a lot of independent pubs right now, rising costs — wages, National Insurance, utilities, and what we pay our producers — have hit us hard, and we've fallen behind with suppliers as a result.

We're proud of our locals and the community we've built here, and we've always championed Sussex producers and independents alongside them.

Our current team are committed and passionate about this pub, and that shows every time you walk through the door. That's what we're fighting to protect.

We're not asking for charity for the sake of it — we're asking because we believe The Billi Tap is worth fighting for, and we'd rather ask honestly than watch it close quietly after five years.

Every donation gets your name on a plaque on our wall — the bigger the donation, the bigger your name. But every penny helps us keep the doors open, and we appreciate every single one, whatever size.

Can't donate, or already have? Come through the door. Meeting a friend, grabbing a quiet pint, hosting a catch-up — choosing us for that is support in itself.
