Aim

Save Teesside Airport campaign to bring legal challenge to proposals that are outside interests of a commercial airport.

We are raising funds for a legal challenge into the decision to grant planning permission for 350 homes within very close proximity to the Airport's terminal building.

Housing development and airport growth are naturally poor combinations and our supporters, like many others in the locality are concerned that development plans are overtaking the principal use of the Airport as a public infrastructure resource.

Help us fight to bring back use of the Airport as a gateway to multi-national holiday and business destinations by making a donation.    We have instructed a senior barrister to provide an initial written advice on the merits of the proceedings. Once the target is raised, we plan to issue judicial review proceedings to challenge the planning permission and to raise other matters that appear to conflict with those of an operational airport.

Our campaign has been carefully thought out so we mitigate litigation risk to the fullest extent, utilising funds raised to take the claims to a point where the barrister’s written advice and particulars of claim would gain interest from After the Event Insurers that would underwrite the risk of loss throughout proceedings.

By making a donation to the fighting fund, no amount is too small, any donation is better than no donation.

Please hurry, as we only have six weeks from 29/03/2017 from which to file judicial review proceedings.    We anticipate being able to action proceedings after the first £15,000 is raised.

All funds will be used to further the judicial review and any other actions we are taking that support bringing back the use of Teesside International Airport as a business and holiday flights gateway.

We will provide you with regular updates  on progress.  Many thanks for your support.
