Help us save Sandy, our Renault 4 so that we can take vital school supplies to children of rural Morocco as part of the 4L Trophy

HELP! Sandy is down but not out. For any of you who have been following the ups and downs of our journey to get her ready to transport books to Morocco, you will feel our pain. Just as we thought we were almost ready for the trip - Sandy's engine exploded - leaving her fighting for her life.

For anyone new to this, following on from our previous crowdfunding campaign, we're once again looking for help to get our 1985 Renault 4, Sandy, ready for the 2024 4L Trophy. 

This is one of the most challenging rallies open to young adults and it comes with a crucial humanitarian side. Each of the ~1,000 teams will be taking as many school supplies as they can fit into their classic Renault. 

Our cargo will be dual language storybooks in Arabic and French written by Archie's grandfather, Idries Shah. Each story has its own unique message, which encourages problem-solving and intelligent learning. 

With your support, we're aiming to deliver up to 1,500 copies of these to southern Morocco so that they can then be distributed to local schools by the French charity, Enfant du Désert. 

However, we've recently hit a massive speed bump...on one of her early shakedown days Sandy has blown her engine and is in need of a new one. 

We're  currently devising solutions because we are determined to get these books to the Moroccan schools which know they are on their way.  In order to not let the kids down, we need your continued support. 

We reached 50% of our target last time, for which we are hugely grateful. Now we have to push past this disaster and get Sandy back on the road. 

This second crowdfunder will be open until just before we leave for the start line in France in February so that we can have every chance to get Sandy and the books down to the desert. 

We have cleared January to commit to Sandy, doing as much of the work ourselves   as we can, to get her mended. The books will be printed in a few weeks. We're so nearly at the starting line. Please help us get there.

TLDR: Sandy is wounded but not dead, we're both still committed to this great educational cause and we need your help to make it happen!
