We're still collecting donations

On the 3rd October 2020 we'd raised £538 with 32 supporters in 56 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.

Rugrats and Half Pints serves communities across several counties and is especially vital to the families of Cirencester and surrounding areas.

It would be a travesty to see it close.

The soft play centre here is the only business locally that caters to young children and their caregivers. As a mother of 4 in the community myself I have decided to create Community Make Some Noise as a grass roots group fighting to ensure the survival of our local businesses and projects, that so many of us rely on.

Rugrats and Half Pints provides a much needed community hub where families can meet and play, stop for a coffee and a chat, host children's parties and attend calendar events put on by the management, such as Easter and Halloween and Christmas discos.

It is the only place to go if the weather is unfriendly!

For many of the low income families without vehicle access, its is a life line to be within walking distance of anywhere in Cirencester.

We know that the love for this wonderful business reaches far and its time to utilise this love to save our beloved soft play centre.

RUGRATS AND HALF PINTS IS FACING INDEFINITE CLOSURE DUE TO THIS PANDEMIC.

Or more accurately because of the lack of any support, advice or funding from central government. Locally councillors have tried to access discretionary funds on the centres behalf with no success.

I reached out to Caroline, the owner and my heart broke as I came to understand the severity of the situation.

Caroline explains herself in the video above that she herself has invested £300,000 into the Cirencester unit of Rugrats and Half Pints and that a large amount of that figure is in a personal loan, which her family home is tied into.

Caroline is a wonderful lady with a huge heart who first trained in social work and with the skills she learnt and her natural passion for the success and survival of young families then branched into directly providing space and facilities where she could really be of use to the community.

Her heart and soul has gone into Rugrats and Half Pints and I know you feel as strongly as I do that Caroline, her family and her business do not deserve to fail because of this situation.

We MUST come together as customers, community and friends to save Rugrats and Half Pints from closure and to protect Caroline and her children from losing their home.

Please, if you have ever visited, ever wanted to or just know how valuable these spaces and the people who create them are, Please consider donating to our crowd funder.

All funds raised will go directly to Caroline at Rugrats. If everyone in Cirencester donated £3 we would be able to save Rugrats and Half Pints from closure.

Swindon, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Stroud and the Oxfordshire boarder towns we call on you, our distant visiting customers to share this campaign as far as it can travel and to please donate anything you can.

Unprecedented is a word that has been bandied around a lot of late but this really is. Unprecedented. Calling on the community like this is not something anybody expected to have to do and we are only doing so because without it, the business and Caroline's family ultimately, will not survive this.

Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts for your support.
