Aim
We are raising funds for a full building survey & towards legal fees, to bring us one step closer to the community purchase of The Sun Inn.
OUR STORY
The Sun Inn is at the heart of Dentdale on the Yorkshire-Cumbria border and has been bringing people together and welcoming visitors since the 16th Century.
The pub is now up for sale and faces an uncertain future, we want to secure it for the community. We've set up Dent Community Pub Ltd, a Community Benefit Society and hope to buy it through the sale of shares.
WHAT'S NEXT
We have now had an offer accepted by the owner, and our first step is to complete a full survey of this listed building, and that's where we need your help!
HOW WE'LL USE THESE FUNDS
This Crowdfunder is entirely separate to our campaign for community shareholders. The money raised here will help us pay for a detailed professional survey of The Sun Inn, flagging any major issues before we proceed with the purchase. It will also go towards covering the legal costs involved with the purchase.
