Good luck!
Good luck...
My Dad and his mates risked their necks during The Blitz to save London, not to have one of its icons now closed because of such a petty thing in comparison as money!!
An important and unique part of London.
Hope this great London institution returns!
Hi - I have pledged some money because I think it is terrible what these portfolio landlords are doing and because I always wanted to go to Simpsons and now currently can't. BUT it was only after checking your instagram page that I figured the fundraising was still live (for legal fees/making a bid for the freehold etc. It would be great if this could be made clearer. even if the same message is posted every couple of months but with a new date attached that would reassure/encourage more pledges. London Tourist - hopeful this establishment can reopen and resume its long standing tradition.
I was at the end of my rope near Threadneedle Street, my damaged legs giving out, when a gentleman took the time to show my wife and I to Simpson’s Tavern. After a lovely meal, sumptuous in its simplicity and a brace of delicious pints (God bless the Imperial pint) what had been a difficult day turned into a lovely week in London. I owe that man. Thank you Simpson’s. Good luck.
Terrible, I hope this crowdfund helps :)
Hope you succeed in saving this gem.
I really hope you raise the funds you need to stop yet another important part of Old London disappearing and our capital city turning into a sea of corperate anonymity.
Good luck with the fight! Simpsons is an institution and must survive
Let’s hope that you can win the case against the freeholder and open Simpson’s ASAP for the benefit of all those who like to eat traditional English food in the City? Any predicted dates for the reopening?
Part of history taken from us for needless greed.
As old as much of The City, Simpson’s must be saved!
Simpson's needs to be saved at all costs! It is a living part of British cultural and, of course, gastronomical history. I enjoyed my visit there very much, from the very friendly staff to the excellent food served in a truly originaire ambience! I wish You the best of luck! Your's truly! Christian Kaya, Munich
Spent many lunchtimes in this wonderful establishment, a City landmark. Please support this cause.
I hope you will soon be able to reopen this historic venue
This London institution must be saved.
Keep up the fight
Very fond memories of Simpsons Tavern - my first visit back in 1985! Don't let these soleless Landlords win…Looking forward to your reopening!
Great cause - wish you well & success
Right behind you after 40 years in The City. Ron Emerson
Simpson's must simply be saved for future generations to enjoy.
