How Much Have We Raised?

We’re thrilled to share that we’ve already raised over £400,000 - a remarkable show of support from residents, friends of Portloe, and supporters. This has enabled us to buy the pub, but now we need to renovate it and keep it running.

The History of The Ship Inn

The Ship Inn is a pub with an incredibly rich history, nestled in the heart of the small fishing village of Portloe, Cornwall.

Full of charm, friendly faces, and community spirit, walking into The Ship Inn is like stepping into the home of an old friend.

Recently, our Ship was at risk. So, a group of committed local residents have come together to ensure we don’t lose the beating heart of our community.

From this came the Save Our Ship campaign – and the formation of the Portloe Community Benefit Society Ltd, which has been established to purchase and manage The Ship Inn as a community-owned asset.

We began collecting pledges from friends of Portloe and those who call it home in April 2025, and through their incredible generosity, we were able to take an offer to St Austell Brewery, which they accepted! As we look to secure our future, we need more support through donations.

Postal Entry

If you wish to enter this prize draw for free, you can post your entry to Carradale, Portloe, Truro, Cornwall, TR2 5RB. In this, you must include the number of entries you wish to purchase.
