A place for play, connection, and community

St. Issey & Little Petherick Playpark is more than just a place to play.

Every year, it brings together hundreds of children, parents, grandparents, locals, and holidaymakers. It’s where children make friends outside of school, where families connect, and where our community grows stronger.

💛 Why this matters

In recent years, spaces like this have played an important role in rebuilding community connections and bringing people back together.

It’s where:

• Children form lifelong friendships
• Parents meet and support one another
• Families spend time together outdoors
• Our community becomes stronger, healthier, and more connected

Without it, we lose more than a playground—we lose a vital part of community life.

⚠️ The reality

This playpark is a charity.

It is not funded by council tax.
It survives entirely on donations, fundraising, and volunteers.

Each year, the park must be:

• Maintained
• Kept safe
• Insured
• Professionally inspected and approved

👉 And wherever possible, improved for the children and families who use it.

This year, we’ve managed to stay open - but only just.

• Repair and maintain equipment
• Make improvements and add new features over time
