Raising funds to cover initial legal costs so the club can properly present its case and protect an important community sport facility
Outcasts Cricket Club has been a valued part of the local community for decades.
The club provides:
✅ Adult cricket
✅ Junior cricket
✅ Coaching and development opportunities
✅ Volunteer opportunities
✅ A welcoming community environment
Our ground is more than just a field. It is a place where generations of local people have played, volunteered, supported and made lifelong friendships.
We are currently facing a legal dispute concerning our future occupation of the cricket ground. Defending the club's position requires specialist professional advice and representation, which comes at significant cost.
We believe it is important that the club has the opportunity to present its case properly and ensure that the future of this community asset is fully considered.
Why This Matters
The cricket ground:
The club is committed to acting responsibly and professionally throughout this process.
We are asking for help to ensure that the club has access to legal support and expert advice during what is likely to be a challenging and important period in defending our clubs future.
We need your help to ensure that the club gets opportunity to hold our landlord to account and stop the loss of a valued cricket field despite the difference in financial capacity.
Funds raised will be used to cover our initial:
✅ Solicitor fees
✅ Barrister fees (if required)
✅ Court fees
✅ Professional advice relating to the club's legal position
Any surplus funds remaining after the legal process will be used solely for the benefit of Outcasts Cricket Club and its future security.
Community sports clubs rely on volunteers, goodwill and local support.
Unfortunately, legal disputes are expensive. While our committee and volunteers continue to devote significant time and effort to protecting the club, professional legal representation comes at a substantial cost.
Your support will help ensure that the club can:
Continue serving future generations
