The purpose of this fundraiser is to mobilize GBP 55,000 to facilitate medical bills for Johnpaul's liver transplant in Egypt.
Johnpaul Ezeike is a Nigerian from Anambra state. In 2014, John was diagnosed with chronic hepatitis B which was contracted through a blood transfusion while still an infant. Fast forward to 2022, it led to liver & spleen enlargement and a swollen abdomen leading to other many serious complications among which are failure to eat properly, breathe properly and walk. He has lost strength, blood, weight and everything good about his health. He was taken from one hospital to another and spent a huge sum of money till his liver was declared no longer able to function properly. And that calls for a liver transplant which is very expensive and to be done abroad. After a long period of suffering and pain, John has reached out to friends and permitted us to share his pain and story to the work to support him get a new liver through transplantation so he can get back on his feet. The total cost of the transplant and other associated costs amounts to GBP 55,000 and any amount at this point is paramount.
