We are raising funds to cover legal and professional costs to enable us to best protect Higham Wood Green Belt from development.
Please read to the end for information about donating!
We are residents of North Tonbridge working to protect farmland at Grange Farm and Greentrees from large-scale housing development.
The Draft Local Plan (Policy TO1 - Land North East of Tonbridge) proposes up to 1,500 dwellings on productive Green Belt Farmland north of Higham Lane.
The Save Higham Wood Committee represents hundreds of residents who care deeply about preserving this vital Green Belt. We are not opposed to new homes, but we believe development should focus on brownfield land and sustainable locations, not irreplaceable farmland.
We are raising funds to cover legal and professional costs to enable us to present the best possible case for objecting to the inclusion of these sites in the Local Plan to the National Planning Inspector and/or objecting to direct planning applications by developers. Funds raised will be utilised only for these purposes. Unused funds will be returned to donors at the end of the campaign (potentially 2028) with an option to donate to a local charity instead.
Please note that this fundraiser is in addition to the funds previously raised for the campaign, which totalled approximately £10,000. Thank you again to everyone who has previously donated and in advance to all who contribute to this new fundraiser.
You do not have to give a tip when donating! Choose 'custom tip' and set the amount to £0 of you do not wish to tip.
