Aim
Hi! I am hoping to raise enough to keep Cafe Roya open and focus on new projects including Persian cookery classes and our first cook book.
I started Cafe Roya in 2010. We are an award winning vegetarian restaurant with a monthly changing menu that caters to specific dietary needs with a focus on local fresh produce, organic wines and community events.
Although we did well with takeaway options during the Covid pandemic, like so many other places the following years have been extremely tough with loan payments, extortionate interest rates and huge increases in food and drink costs. We have always been busy with a very loyal customer base but we, unfortunately, will not survive the next year unless I make some changes.
The aim of this crowdfunder is to pay off our debt and stop the interest rates before they damage us any further.
I have some great ideas including Persian cookery classes, a cookbook and a brand new menu with take home options. I'm not ready to give up yet, I want us to grow! Cafe Roya has been such a challenging but wonderful part of my life. We feel very much part of the community and that we are one big family and I'd be devastated to see it go as I'm sure so many of you would.
My aim is to get us out of the red and focus on an even more ethical restaurant with sustainable choices and projects in 2026 and beyond so that we can continue to enrich our local culturally diverse community.
