Aim

To safeguard our birds we are offering Pay It Forward rewards - to replace lost income from closing to visitors and cancelled fundraisers

Covid-19 has wrecked the funding of non-profit animal centres like ours.  At Blue Highlands Raptor Rescue we haven’t received a single penny of resilience funding.

Injured birds can’t survive without emergency care, food, and shelter. Our small, dedicated team still works 24 hours a day, providing crisis care.  And, our conservation efforts for endangered species continue, uninterrupted.

Whilst in the annual frenzy of preparations for our seasonal visitors, Covid-19 hit hard. Dozens of fundraising events, all of our weekly educational talks, community visits and our "Meet the Birds" sessions, cancelled.  To add insult to injury, we had to tell our committed volunteers that lockdown prevents their dedicated work here as well.

There’s no denying, It HAS been really tough, but we have decided to do something POSITIVE!

Animals seem to pay the price every time - wet markets - abuse - neglect - deforestation - human impact.  Its especially hard for us to watch when we are specifically working with extinct-in-the-wild species.
