Birmingham Bouncers CIC desperately need to raise funds for some additional equipment and new venue costs following COVID-19 closures

Who are we and what do we do?
Birmingham Bouncers CIC are a not for profit community trampolining club, our main focus is to help children and young people enjoy being active in a fun and safe environment, we have found that trampolining helps to develop balance, strength and coordination and is particularly helpful for young children and those with balance and movement conditions such as dyspraxia. We also work with our young people to develop leadership skills and have a young leaders program helping them to become qualified coaches once they are able.

What is happening with the club:
We currently cater to approximately 150 children and families, who have been affected by the COVID-19 closures, our children have had everything they know and love taken from them at this time, so when we heard the government announcement that indoor sport could resume, we excitedly began contacting our venues to find out what their plans for reopening we. This is when we were hit by the most devastating blow, our main venue informed us that they would not be reopening to external hirers and that we need to arrange for all of our equipment to be removed from their storage by the end of August 2020.
In the meantime we have been delivering online zoom fitness sessions and small group park fitness to keep the children active. We have also been supporting children to work on and develop some basic skills on their home garden trampolines - but nothing is as good as the real thing.

What does this mean for us?
As a club we are devastated by the news, we do not want our children to miss out and we definitely refuse to close as there are so many children and families that would be affected - we cannot do this to them, they depend upon us! So not only do we need to find a new venue for our 4 trampolines, set of end decks and safety matting, (this is no easy feat due to the size of the equipment) but we also need to buy additional equipment to use when we find our new facilities - which includes an additional set of end decks and floor matting which we were currently borrowing from our previous venue. We are aiming to raise at least £5,000 to help us purchase the new equipment to allow our club to continue to safely run in a new venue and additional funding will go towards finding a new home for the club so that our Bouncers family can continue to run and thrive, providing much needed activity for young people to learn new skills, make friends and have fun.
Please help us to save our club
