My name is Adam Smith and my goal is to raise money to purchase this Church, repair/renovate the historic building and re-open it to the community.

The church has laid in a state of disrepair for over a decade and is on sale privately for £95,000. Unfortunately due to the state of neglect, the repairs would cost considerably more than the amount listed. It would take specialist contractors who are experts at renovating historic listed buildings to restore this architectural marvel back to its former glory.

My vision is to repair this building and put it in the hands of the community, opening it up for weddings and other community events. This building was built by master craftsmen with the purpose of being used as a community space, so the goal is to reopen this to the public with that purpose in mind.

As an electrical contractor myself, some parts of the renovation process can be provided by myself. However I wouldn't be able to do it all myself, it needs considerable investment in other areas (mainly the roof and spire).

I am asking for those of you with the same passion for British heritage and architecture (regardless of religious orientation) for donations to get this beautiful building back in the hands of the community.
