Help us build the future of Sardinia travel: a green, youth-led digital guide to protect and promote our island. Join the revolution!
Our Story: Shaping the Future of Sardinia
The Idea It all started with a simple observation: Sardinia is world-renowned for its stunning coastline, but its true soul—the hidden villages, the ancient crafts, and the resilient local communities—is often overlooked by mainstream tourism. Cool Sardinia Guide was born to bridge this gap. We wanted to create a digital space that celebrates the "cool", authentic, and sustainable side of our island.
Today, we are ready to take this mission further. We are transitioning from a curated travel guide to a youth-led, participatory platform. Our goal is to empower the next generation of Sardinians to map their own territory, creating itineraries that are not only beautiful but also inclusive and eco-friendly.
Our Team Led by Angelo Calvi & Partners Ltd, our team is a blend of local expertise and international vision. We are storytellers, researchers, and community builders. We don't just "list" places; we build relationships with the people who make Sardinia unique. Through our recent work in European youth exchange programmes, we have established a network of partners in Spain and Greece, ensuring that our local project has a truly Mediterranean perspective.
The Vision We envision a Sardinia where tourism is a force for good. A future where travellers can discover the island’s secrets without harming its delicate ecosystems, and where local youth find pride and opportunity in showcasing their heritage. We want to set a new standard for "Green & Inclusive" travel in the Mediterranean, using digital innovation to protect what makes us unique.
How We Will Use the Money We have big plans for the 2027 season, but we face a crucial transition period between now and June. To keep the momentum going and ensure our vision becomes a reality, we need to raise £5,000. These funds will be used for:
Platform & Content Enhancement: We need to upgrade our digital infrastructure to integrate new interactive maps and hosting space for the content co-created by our youth participants.
Sardinia Field Research Workshops: Funding the "boots on the ground" phase. This covers the logistics for our first series of local workshops where young researchers will scout and document eco-friendly routes and accessible experiences.
Operational Continuity: Maintaining our core operations. This "bridge funding" allows our small, dedicated team to focus entirely on the project's development, coordination with international partners, and community outreach during this vital phase.
Why Support Us? By backing this project, you are not just supporting a travel guide; you are investing in a sustainable future for Sardinia. You are helping us create a platform that values people over profits and preservation over mass consumption.
Join us in building the future of Sardinia travel. Every contribution brings us one step closer to June and a giant leap toward a greener Mediterranean.
