Storm damage and general wear, mean our practice nets and sight screens need restoring & replacing back to safe, high-quality facilities.
About us
Sandford Cricket Club is a proud, community-run club at the heart of village life. For generations, our ground has been a place where players of all ages come together, from juniors taking their first steps in cricket to senior teams and volunteers who give their time to keep the club thriving.
We are more than just a cricket club. We are a social hub, a safe place for young people, and a space where friendships are formed and lifelong love of sport is built through cricket.

Why are we crowdfunding?
The recent storms and general wear and tear have caused significant damage to our facilities. Our practice nets are badly affected, and our sight screens are damaged. These are essential for safe training and match play, and without them, our ability to operate fully as a club is at risk.
This crowdfunding campaign aims to raise £31,452 to repair our practice nets and replace our sight screens so that players can train safely and matches can continue without disruption.
If we don’t act quickly, the damage will worsen and costs will rise. By restoring these facilities now, we can protect the future of cricket at Sandford and ensure our ground remains safe, welcoming, and fit for purpose.

We want our supporters to know exactly how their generosity will be used. All funds raised will go directly towards restoring and improving our facilities.

These improvements will provide long-lasting benefits for the club and reduce future maintenance costs.

Sandford Cricket Club plays a vital role in the local community. Our facilities are used by junior teams, senior players, volunteers, schools, and community groups. Cricket at Sandford promotes physical activity, teamwork, discipline, and wellbeing for people of all ages.
By repairing our facilities, we are protecting a space that brings people together, supports youth development, and keeps sport accessible at a grassroots level. This project ensures Sandford Cricket Club remains a safe and welcoming.
