Sanctuary is a bold and provocative new play exploring the delicate balance between survival and morality in a near-future dystopian world. Our production is not just about creating a play—it's about giving life to a story that challenges societal norms and asks urgent questions about our humanity.
We are passionate about ensuring that our talented cast and crew receive fair compensation for their incredible work. With your support, we aim to cover essential costs, including paying our cast and crew Equity wages, sourcing the necessary props and set pieces, printing costs for posters and programs, and marketing the show to bring this play to life.
Every donation brings us one step closer to our funding our premiere of Sanctuary at London’s Hope Theatre, performances at 7:45pm, 26 - 30 November 2024!
In the basement of Cassie’s home, two women with clashing worldviews struggle to survive as a civil war erupts outside, revealing the cracks in their friendship and forcing them to confront their deepest fears.
Amid escalating political violence, Cassie and Amelia take refuge in Cassie’s basement, hiding from the dangerous men outside. Cassie, a cynical liberal, sees the situation as a deadly consequence of the growing fascism and male violence. Amelia, conservative and in denial, believes things will soon blow over. As tension rises, so do the ideological clashes between the women, pulling at the seams of their friendship. When Amelia walks into danger and faces brutal consequences, Cassie is left grappling with guilt and fear. With survival on the line, their bond is tested in a world that feels increasingly hostile.
