Colobus Conservation is a Kenyan-based organisation dedicated to protecting colobus monkeys and the forests they depend on. Their mission is to safeguard these endangered primates through habitat protection, rescue and rehabilitation, community education, and scientific research. You can read more about their work here.
Colobus monkeys face growing threats from deforestation, human–wildlife conflict, urban development, and loss of natural habitat. Without urgent conservation action, their populations in Kenya are at serious risk of decline.
Sam & Emily, two of Drusillas amazing zookeepers, are travelling to Kenya to take part in a vital field trip supporting Colobus Conservation’s work on the ground. During the trip, they’ll be learning firsthand about conservation efforts, supporting research and education projects, and helping to raise awareness of the challenges these monkeys face in the wild.
Funds are being raised through Drusillas Conservation in Action, the charity arm of Drusillas Park. This charity has funded the field trip and plays a crucial role in raising money for Colobus Conservation, helping to make their life-saving work possible.
