Providing a warm welcoming space to the local community, helping to address social isolation and the impact of increased cost of living.
We are a local sports club and as a direct result of increased cost of living and social isolation we have opened our doors to provide a warm welcoming environment.
We provide freshly baked cakes, drinks, games, crafts, magazines, WiFi, tv & dog treats for your 4 legged friends.
We aim to use this money to improve our baby changing facility, increase its frequency of opening times, provide warm food, look at a delivery or transport service to those who are housebound in the community and continue offering this “space” without charge throughout the year rather than just in the colder months.
Warm Wednesday is growing in size every week and enjoyed by some of our most isolated neighbours, as well as bringing the local community together, we cannot see how we can stop this when the warmer weather arrives.
This money will help us look at future proofing the future of the warm space!!
