Support Phase Two of Saltash RFC Pitch Improvements – with the aim to improve the lighting for training and games

Who are we?

Saltash RFC is a proud, community-driven rugby club, bringing together players, families, and supporters of all ages. We run senior, youth, and mini teams, providing opportunities for everyone—from first-time players to experienced competitors—to enjoy the game and be part of a strong, supportive club.

More than just a rugby team, Saltash RFC is a hub for the local community. We rely on the dedication of volunteers, supporters, and sponsors to keep the club thriving and accessible to all.

We are committed to investing in our future by improving our facilities, developing our players, and creating an environment the whole community can be proud of. Your support helps us continue to grow, both on and off the pitch. 

Why are we crowdfunding?

Saltash RFC is proud to launch Phase Two of our Pitch Improvement Project, building on the fantastic progress already made to improve our facilities for players, supporters, and the wider community.

With your support, we aim to raise £12,000 to continue transforming our club grounds, with this phase focused on enhancing pitch facilities and upgrading lighting to improve training, support evening games, matchday experiences, player safety, and year-round community use.

We are currently pursuing additional funding from the RFU to install full floodlighting at the ground. Funds raised through this campaign will contribute directly towards that goal. If we are unsuccessful in securing RFU funding, all money raised will instead be invested into upgrading and improving our existing training lights, ensuring we still deliver a significant step forward for the club.

Improved lighting will allow:

• Extended winter training sessions for all age groups and senior teams
• The opportunity to host evening fixtures and community games under lights
• Safer, higher-quality playing and spectator facilities
• Greater use of the club for youth rugby and community events
• Continued development of Saltash RFC as a hub for sport and community spirit
